Looking Out the Window: Introducing Splickety

A Flash Fiction Magazine Editor Ben Erlichman says, "Splickety Magazine exists to bring high-quality short fiction from new writers, established authors, and everyone in between." Get the day off to a good start with a quick read, or enjoy entertaining fiction while waiting at children's activities. It’s great for taking to waiting rooms, because the reader can finish an entire story before his or her name’s called. In some waiting rooms, the reader probably can finish the entire magazine. The first issue launched this month and is available in digital and print copies. One story touches the heart while another brings laughter and yet another surprises the reader. In addition to finding sixteen stories, readers can peruse a prologue to Over the Edge by best-selling author Brandilyn Collins.  While going through Splickety I hope you'll look for my story, "Lifeline.” Splickety is available in digital and print copies from https://magcloud.com/account/

The Secret of the Love Letters is the first book in the series, with others to follow in June and December. Why do you write? I write for the simple joy of placing words on the page. It's more than a hobby, it's a passion. I recommend new writers not write for fortune or fame because it many never come. If you're writing because you love

Writers often have been avid readers for a long time. Did you read lots as a child? If so, what did you read? Yes, I definitely read a lot—in fact, my mother tells me that she read to me before I was born, so I'm not surprised that I've always loved the printed word. My favorites on the shelf when I was young: The Little House books, The Chronicles of Narnia, Little Women, anything Nancy Drew or Trixie Belden, all were among my favorites. How neat that your mom read to you before you were born. We'd like to know a little about your writing. Why do you write? I'd like to say, “Because I have to,” but I don't know if that's a very good answer. I've always enjoyed making up stories When I was in grade school, I realized that I could. I put it away for a long time, worked on co
