Looking Out The Window: June Foster Talks About Her New Book, A Harvest of Blessings. Gives Away An E-book

A Warm Welcome to June Foster To enter to win the e-book of A Harvest of Blessings leave a comment and an email address below. June shares one of her favorite Bible verses and a delicious recipe to nourish us body and soul. "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, not powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 Thank you for the comforting verse. Chicken-Vegetable Dish I love this recipe because it's low carb. It provides both protein and vegetables, and it's easy to make. Chicken-Vegetable Dish 4 chicken breast halves Salt and pepper 2 tablespoons oil 1 1/4 cups chicken broth 2 cups broccoli florets 1 medium yellow squash, sliced 1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet and brown chicken on both sides. Add chicken brot

Looking Out the Window: Clare Revell Discusses Her New Mystery, Dark Lake

A Warm Welcome to Clare Revell Clare shares two of her favorite Bible verses, her favorite recipe and two excerpts from her new book, Dark Lake. Favorite Bible Verses  1 Peter5v7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” This is actually on a photo that I’ve had above my bed / my side of the bed since I was two, maybe younger. It’s always been there, always reminding me that Someone cares no matter how rotten I feel or how bad a day it’s been. What a beautiful picture. The other is Deuteronomy 5v33b: “Walk in all the way that the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live and prosper and prolong your days in the land that you will possess.” This always makes me giggle. But then I’m a huge Trekkie so it would do. Who’d have guessed that Live long and prosper comes from the Bible? And that came straight from Leonard Nimoy. Along with the Vulcan salute. Looking In The Window: I'm Chatting With My Writing Partner, Lisa Lickel, About Writing And Books. She'll Give Away An E-book Of Meander Scar

A Warm Welcome to Lisa Lickel Lisa will give away an e-Book of  Meander Scar. To enter to win leave a comment and an email address below.  I’ve had the privilege of writing with Lisa for the past six years. Not only do I benefit from her critiques, but I also enjoy reading her books. Centrifugal Force , one she's discussing today, held me spellbound with the intensity, mystery, family dynamics, and foreign intrigue Lisa put into it. When I finished a chapter, I tried to scroll down to read the one she hadn’t written yet, so it’s a page turner. Thank you, Gail. You’ve always been encouraging, and very good at forcing me to keep up with you, or withholding your own work from me when I fell behind you. I wasn’t sure I liked that at first, but I came to admire your technique in knowing me better than I knew myself. Since that first book we’ve worked on several together. Actually, it’s the other way around. You’re the one who keeps me on task. I have to stay ahead, so I ca
