Sherri will give away an e-Book of A Friend in High Places and Come Out of Hiding. To enter to win leave a comment and an email address below. Thank you, Gail, for inviting me to be part of your blog family.  It’s my pleasure to have you. First, tell us a little about yourself.  I’m a fairly new widow and getting used to the idea. The Lord has been so there for me through the last year and a half. I live near Orlando and nearer still to Disney. I go to its parks to walk a couple times a week. I write mainly in the historical romance and romantic suspense genres. My favorite part of writing is the research—I love travel and visiting the places in my books to make sure my facts are authentic. However, I had to cancel the trip to LA to research A Friend in High Places. Stupid Covid. I live with my  son and dog, Lily, who is the best sleeper in the world. She’s got it down to a science.  So sorry for your loss and the covid. Lots of writers were avid readers as children. How about you?

We adore spending time with our family.  Sixteen years ago, Tim and I retired the same day, me from a twenty-seven-year corporate career with an international beauty company. We bought a Corvette, finished decorating our home, and checked off every item on our travel bucket list. Now I’m pursuing career number two as an author and proving it’s never too late to follow your dreams.  Many writers were avid readers as children. How about you? If so, what did you read? I remember visiting the mobile library which

If so, what did you read? I was definitely an avid reader as soon as I learned to read. Books fascinated me once I realized that they were a whole new world I could enter by just opening them up. I read Everything!! All the contemporary and classic favorites for children, as well as encyclopedias, the dictionary, etc. I’ve always been very curious and books satisfied my urge to understand the world and other people and cultures. Tell us about your writing. Why do you do it?  Other than music, I think language is the most effective way of expressing what’s inside of us.  Tell us about your latest book.  Love Stumbled In takes place in the 1920’s which were a decade of profound changes in society. I did some research for a previous book in the same time period and found that I wanted to write another

Looking out the Window: Happiness

Happiness is seldom where you look for it. Sometimes where you find it, but always where you make it.  Anonymous There aren’t many words of wisdom more appropriate for 2020 than these, and there aren’t any reasons for happiness better than the coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Even in the dark times of our lives Jesus shines His light on us and lives within us bringing joy beyond that of the world. Once we’ve accepted Him and allowed Him to ignite His love in us, even the shadows lurking in society cannot blot it out. Colossians 3: 1- 3, tells us “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your heart on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” In John 17: 14 - 19, when Jesus prays for his disciples, he says, “I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but
