Looking out the Window: Jodie Wolfe Adds a New Western, Convincing Lou, to her Burton Springs Brides Series.

A Warm Welcome to Jodie Wolfe Hi Jodie, tell us a little about yourself. Hi, thanks for having me here today, Gail. It's my pleasure. Let’s see, what can I say about myself. I live in southcentral PA. I’ve had a longing to write ever since I was a little girl. I currently write Christian historical romances. I love winter and snow. You’ll usually find me with a book close at hand, because I’m an avid reader. I love to walk and spend time with my husband.  Were you an avid reader as a child? If so, what did you read? Yes! I loved Laura Ingalls Wilder’s Little House on the Prairie series. I also read the Encyclopedia Brown Series, Trixie Beldon Series, Nancy Drew , etc. I read more mysteries when I was younger than I do now. :) Why do you write? For me, writing is something God has called me to do. It’s a way of encouraging others to go deeper in their faith, even in the midst of difficulties they may be facing. Tell us about your latest book. How hard can it be to round up one del...

Looking out the Window: Susan Spess Talks about Jordan Valley Roundup, the Third Book in her Jordan Valley Series. Giveaway.

A Warm Welcome to Susan Spess Susan gives away an eBook of Jordan Valley Roundup . To enter to win join the Rafflecopter contest below and leave a comment and an email. Susan Tells Us the Story behind the Story Some of my oldest memories are of rodeos. I’ve never participated in one, as much as I wanted to, but I love watching others. I was very young when I first watched my cousin ride barrels on my dad’s horse, Sparky, at the rodeo in the tiny town of Old Mannford. Dad must have enjoyed rodeos as much as I did, because we often attended different ones. When the International Professional Rodeo Association moved to Tulsa in 1971 for the 1970 rodeo season, my family was there. The next year, I was in college at Ozark Bible College in Joplin, Missouri, so I didn’t get to go. (A big snowstorm hit while they were there, so they didn’t get home until around 2:00 am.) One of the first dates with my hubby was to the finals in 1973. We went with my family to the first night, and we went again...

Looking Out The Window: Jennifer Slattery Talks About Her new Book, Restoring Her Faith. Shares A Personal Experience And Gives Away A Print Copy.

A Warm Welcome to Jennifer Slattery Jennifer will give away a print copy (U.S. residents only) of Restoring Her Faith . To enter to win leave a comment and an email address below. Jennifer Shares A Personal Experience About Her Faith Sometimes the best choices are the hardest to make. Sometimes wisdom appears foolish and faith fanatical. As a young mother striving to live for Jesus, I quickly learned just how contrary the things of God appeared to those who don’t understand Him. When I chose to stay home, there were those who thought I was lazy. When I attempted to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance and guard our daughter’s influences, I was accused of sheltering her. I was told my actions would ultimately harm her and leave her maladjusted. My attempts to explain, or perhaps more accurately, to defend my choice, didn’t help. Although I shouldn’t have expected any different. My discussion of God’s leading—of His gentle voice, spoken softly yet clearly to my heart—a...
