Looking in the Window: The Love of Christmas and a Giveaway

Merry Christmas!  Luke 2: 11-12, ā€œToday in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. You will find a baby wrapped in cloths lying in a manger.ā€ The greatest love the world has ever known started in a humble stable in Bethlehem when Jesus was born.  Later He suffered and died to conquer death for us. Knowing what he endured, itā€™s difficult to comprehend the depth of unconditional love He has for us. Before He was crucified, he preached a Gospel telling us to love one another.     Today with wars popping up and hate rhetoric we might wonder if weā€™ve run out of love, if weā€™ve abandoned it, or if weā€™ve forgotten where to find it. We canā€™t manufacture it. We canā€™t buy or demand it because we canā€™t dictate whatā€™s in a personā€™s heart.  It must be given and received. It was given on Christmas in Bethlehem and again on the cross when Jesus died for our sins. We only need to accept it. Once we do, it lives inside us and spills over to ot...

Looking in the Window: The Greatest Gift

ā€œFor unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.ā€ Isaiah 9: 6 (NIV) At Christmas we thank God for the greatest gift the world has ever known. Christians are the luckiest people in the world. Jesus came to earth, suffered and died to save us. Then he rose from the dead and lives with us today. No matter what happens around us, He remains our rock to lean on and the most powerful force the world has ever known. He tells us if we have the faith of a mustard seed, we can move mountains, nothing will be impossible for us. Heā€™s always with us, and thereā€™s neither nothing, nor no one who can defeat Him. He even conquered death! In Matthew 17: 23, Jesus says, ""...I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain,' Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you....

Christmas Messages

Christmas shines with Godā€™s grace, forgiveness of sins and salvation. Itā€™s difficult to fathom an unconditional love so great, or ever repay it. All I can do each year is let it fill my heart with joy as I stand in awe of it and accept Godā€™s gift. A Miraculous Birth    Photo courtesy Photobucket ā€œGod sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virginā€™s name was Mary.ā€ Luke 1: 26 - 27 ā€œ...the angel said to her, ā€œDo not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with God. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end.ā€ Luke 1: 30 - 33 A Gospel of love ā€œTeacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?ā€ ā€œJesus repli...

Merry Christmas

On December 25th, Christians celebrate the birth of Christ . Some believe Jesus was born on a different day, but they gather to remember his arrival on earth on December 25th. Jesus came into the world to die for mine and all manā€™s sins and preached a Gospel of love. He was tortured and put to death, but he rose from the dead. And His spirit lives today in the hearts and souls of Christians from the moment we accept Him. From then on, He is with us always from the darkest valley to the brightest hilltop. ā€œAnd there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, ā€˜Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ, the Lord.ā€ (Luke 2: 8 ā€“ 11). Christ is born! ā€œHearing that Jesus had silenced the Sa...
