Easter Blessings

The powerful, miraculous Easter message Jesus lived among the Jews and the gentiles showing us his Gospel of love, telling us how to live in peace and care for each other. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22: 37 – 39) The suffering He endured illustrates how imperfect and cruel the world can be. “Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve disciples aside and said to them, ‘We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers of the law. They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified…’” (Matthew 20: 17 -18) His crucifixion shows us God’s unconditional love. “In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked

Looking Out The Window: Sara Foust Talks About Her New Book, Rarity Mountain

A Warm Welcome to Sara Foust Sara shares one of her recipes for making the most out of leftovers and talks about one of her favorite Bible verses. I love good food and I have a lot of favorite recipes, so it was hard to pick just one. I also really like experimenting with seasonings and leftovers and creating with what I have on hand. Left Over Mashed Potato Cakes 1 ½ cups mashed potatoes (I used unpeeled, red potatoes to make my mashed potatoes) 2 eggs ¼ cup bread crumbs ½ cup chopped fresh spinach 1 tbls chopped green onion Dash All Season Salt Dash pepper 2 tbls sour cream ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce Mix all ingredients in a bowl. Form into palm-sized patties and fry in oil. Makes approx. 7-8 patties Oh yum! Thank you! A Bible Verse From Psa

Jennifer Shares A Personal Experience About Her Faith Sometimes the best choices are the hardest to make. Sometimes wisdom appears foolish and faith fanatical. As a young mother striving to live for Jesus, I quickly learned just how contrary the things of God appeared to those who don’t understand Him. When I chose to stay home, there were those who thought I was lazy. When I attempted to follow the Holy Spirit’s guidance and guard our daughter’s influences, I was accused of sheltering her. I was told my actions would ultimately harm her and leave her maladjusted. My attempts to explain, or perhaps more accurately, to defend my choice, didn’t help. Although I shouldn’t have expected any different. My discussion of God’s leading—of His gentle voice, spoken softly yet clearly to my heart—a
