Erin Shares A Favorite Bible Verse

Verse: Philippians. 2:9-11  Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

What a wonderful verse to recall, especially during Lent.

Erin Shares A Recipe One of Her Character's Would Like

Maddie Clare, from Practicing Murder, cooks a lot when her whole family is home. She believes in love and laughter over a good meal. I think she’d like to try this very easy recipe of mine.

Chicken Alfredo Tortellini

1 Bag of Cheese stuffed Tortellini shells
1 Bag of pre-cooked grilled chicken strips
1 Can of spaghetti sauce
1 Can of Alfredo sauce
1 Can Black Beans, drained

Cook the tortellini shells according to the package. Drain. Heat the chicken strips in a frying pan. Then combine all ingredients and cook until heated through. Serves 5.

About Practicing Murder

Graduate student Maddie Clare is never talking to her ex-boyfriend Joze Evans or God again. Broken from her past and Joze’s betrayal, she must go home for her Aunt Lonna’s funeral. But after a run-in with a stalker, who insists Maddie knows the secret that had Aunt Lonna investigating him, she’s afraid for her life and must accept Joze’s protection.

As the stalker draws closer, how will Maddie and Joze face the past and their love that never died? And will Maddie stay out of the stalker’s grip long enough to figure out what secret he possesses?

That's an interesting question, lately been so busy that cooking healthy can be time consuming and hectic. Eating out is then a great thing but sometimes for sure not healthy...
Love reading stories by Erin Unger. :-) I have read this story and it is fantastic! I prefer to eat at home.
Great verse and yummy recipe, Erin.
Your book sounds fascinating too!
Good luck and God's blessings

I've had your book on my to-purchase list since I first saw it. I'd rather go out to eat. My cooking is whatever I can dump in the crock-pot. loree.peery@outlook.com

Believe it or not, as a former Dietitian with a Master's degree in Nutrition, I'm too tired - and busy - to cook much anymore. Nothing more pleasing than to sit down, select my food, be served and have the dishes cleaned up after me. Also affords opportunity to chat with wait staff and bless them with generous tip (if earned). I'm excited about this book of yours, Erin! Blessings to you as it's released into the world.

I agree Sonja. It's always healthier to eat at home but not possible all the time.

LoRee, I'm a huge crockpot cooker too. It's so easy.

Thanks Mary for the blessings! I'm a huge fan of eating out.

Looking Out the Window: Memories on the Heart

Several weeks ago my husband, Rick, and I ate at a restaurant we frequent fairly regularly. The cute, young waitress who usually waits on us took our orders for burgers and fries. I’ll call her Mandy. As usual Mandy’s smile and bubbly personality brightened our day. We giggled and confessed to her that we shouldn’t eat the fries, but we were going to do it just this once. She joked. “Okay, you’re being bad today.” Not long after we got our food a couple came in and sat in the booth behind us. Mandy walked up to the table with her big grin. “Hi, how are you?” she asked. The man, who had salt and pepper colored hair and a pudgy face, spoke in a harsh tone, “I want the steak.” “Sure, which one would you like?” Mandy asked. “I don’t want you to put it in the microwave. That will make it tough. Do you understand?” Mandy’s lips turned down. “Yes sir, which one do you want to order?” “I want it medium rare. I don’t want blood oozing out of it. I want it cooked right.” “Yes sir, which steak di...

A Warm Welcome to Kristi Neace Kristi shares a devotional. She will start a new Bible study on Facebook in July. Watch for the announcement, giving the exact date and time on her  Facebook Page   Scriptural videos also available. See below.*  In a Pit? Psalm 40:1-3‚ “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.” Can you think of a time when God helped you out of a low place? Perhaps something had caused you to spiral downward, or maybe like the Old Testament character, Jonah, you had run away from God so as not to have to do what He was asking of you.  Through this passage, we see that David was experiencing this first-hand. He was in a place of despair, yet God was gracious, and after some time, placed Dav...
