Mary will give away EITHER a print book or an e-book. To enter to win, leave a comment and an email address. Hi Mary, what a pleasure to have you on Peering Through Life’s Window. Tell us a little about yourself.  I enjoy creating fiction novels and Christian articles. Inspirational Suspense and Mysteries are my favorite, but anything I write (unless it’s non-fiction) has to have romance. I’m just a romantic at heart. My main goal in scribing is to show how people face adversity and overcome through divine mercy and grace. My days are filled with keeping my grandsons. My schedule also includes doing what I can to support my husband’s ministry. Hubby and I enjoy singing southern gospel, and we go to other churches and re-habitation facilities when time permits. I enjoy the outdoors, especially fishing. Between all that, I must scribe. There’s always a story or devotional floating around in my head. Wow. You have lots of talents. Many writers enjoyed reading as a child. How a

Looking Out the Window: Linda Weaver Clarke Celebrating July 4th with a New Release, The Rebels of Cordovia

The Stories of Robin Hood is Inspiration for The Rebels of Cordovia See below to read a free chapter We celebrate Independence Day, remembering the freedom we fought for centuries ago. Many patriots had to pay for this freedom with their lives and we are grateful to those who fought for our liberty. In this new novel, you get a glimpse of what another country had to fight for, as well. The freedom of speech, the freedom of equality, and the freedom to worship as we please! No one could have a greater gift than this. This tale will entertain those who enjoy bits of adventure, humor, mystery, and a tender love story. The stories of Robin Hood have enchanted readers for years. In our youth, we enjoyed hearing the escapades of Robin Hood and were spellbound by each story and how he cared for the people. How awesome would it be to live during that time period just because of Robin Hood! In The Rebels of Cordovia , a similar story is created but centuries after the legend of Robin Ho

Welcome, Heidi. First, tell us a little about yourself. I’m the youngest of three children, married, and have a son and two dogs. Fiction is my passion, but technical writing and editing currently pay my bills. Lots of writers enjoyed reading as a child. How about you? If so, what did you read? I was an avid reader as a kid. When I couldn’t sleep, my family gave me books to read. I enjoyed reading Sugar Creek Gang books. Tell us about your latest book. Dog Tags is a suspense novel set in two fictional towns, Beaumont, Ohio, and Riversdale, California. In it, a former Marine determines to protect the woman he loves at all costs, and yet his own secrets might turn her against him forever. Ahh, a noble hero. What inspired you to write this particular book? I took a romance novella I'd written and revamped it to make it a suspense novel. The suspense version made for a better story. I wanted a villain with certain weaknesses that might help lead to his demise, but at t

JESUS LIVES

During Jesus' time on earth he preached a Gospel of love. When asked by the Sadducees and the Pharisees what was the greatest commandment, "Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself..." (Matthew 22: 37 -39) God sent Jesus into the world to die for our sins, so that we could have eternal life! “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) photo courtesy of Photobucket “‘We are going up to Jerusalem,’ he said, ‘and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and teachers of the law, They will condemn him to death and will hand him over to the Gentiles, who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.’” (Mark 10: 33 – 34) photo courtesy of Photobucket
