What the reviewers are saying about the Amelia Moore Detective Series and Her Lost Love

Most mysteries are a “who-done-it,” but this cozy mystery series specializes in missing persons. Amelia Moore, founder of the Moore Detective Agency, and Rick Bonito always solve their case. Her Lost Love is the fifth mystery in the Amelia Moore Detective Series. There is a nice blend of mystery, romance, and humor. The little sparks of romance between the two detectives simply add to the mystery of this story.

“I've read this series from the beginning and come to know and love Amelia and Rick more with each book. These are some of my favorite cozy mysteries and I know exactly what I'm getting with them--a fun, unique mystery that isn't too intense, mingled with a sweet, clean romance. I think Amelia and Rick compliment each other perfectly, both professionally and personally. Of course, since I'm a romantic at heart, I love the romantic moments in the story.” --Katie Watkins, Katies Clean Book Collection

“I love long-lost love stories,” wrote Melanie Valderrama of Mel’s Shelves. “So this one grabbed my interest right from the beginning. What I enjoy about this series is that there's always more to each case than they originally think. This case was no different. I love how their personal relationship is progressing and am excited to see what happens next. Rick is so irresistible and romantic and he steps up big time in this book. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more!”

Each novel in this mystery series has enough twists to keep the reader guessing. “Her Lost Love” not only has a case for Amelia and Rick to solve, but the romance is intriguing. Library of Clean Reads wrote: “This is a fast-paced, creative mystery that has at its heart crime, archaeological digs, romance, ‘good guys and bad’ that combine to make an interesting, quick read.”

The books in the Amelia Moore Detective Series are The Bali Mystery, The Shamrock Case, The Missing Heir, and The Mysterious Doll. For more information or to read sample chapters, visit www.lindaweaverclarke.com.

This is a most intriguing story line and I must add this to my reading list. This sounds like clean romance at its best and surely will have a happy ending. Best wishes, as always Linda and Gail thanks again for another great interview with a classy lady.

This sounds exciting, Linda! I've not thought of a woman detective series. I'm curious to know if you've had to "investigate" (ha ha) how detectives work - like their methods, police jargon, etc. Who do you go to for authentic advice? And finding a lost love -- how does one even start? Fantastic premise! :)

There have been many female crime solvers before in literature and on TV so it works as a concept. Hook the reader in the story and this may the start of yet another crime drama series !! As always, good luck in the future with it...
The research for this book was awesome. I learned so much. I think research is one of my favorite things to do. I even talked to a private investigator to find out some things.

Looking Out the Window: Memories on the Heart

Several weeks ago my husband, Rick, and I ate at a restaurant we frequent fairly regularly. The cute, young waitress who usually waits on us took our orders for burgers and fries. I’ll call her Mandy. As usual Mandy’s smile and bubbly personality brightened our day. We giggled and confessed to her that we shouldn’t eat the fries, but we were going to do it just this once. She joked. “Okay, you’re being bad today.” Not long after we got our food a couple came in and sat in the booth behind us. Mandy walked up to the table with her big grin. “Hi, how are you?” she asked. The man, who had salt and pepper colored hair and a pudgy face, spoke in a harsh tone, “I want the steak.” “Sure, which one would you like?” Mandy asked. “I don’t want you to put it in the microwave. That will make it tough. Do you understand?” Mandy’s lips turned down. “Yes sir, which one do you want to order?” “I want it medium rare. I don’t want blood oozing out of it. I want it cooked right.” “Yes sir, which steak di...

Psalm 40:1-3‚ “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.” Can you think of a time when God helped you out of a low place? Perhaps something had caused you to spiral downward, or maybe like the Old Testament character, Jonah, you had run away from God so as not to have to do what He was asking of you.  Through this passage, we see that David was experiencing this first-hand. He was in a place of despair, yet God was gracious, and after some time, placed Dav...
