Hi Regina, Tell us a little about your new book.

Thank you very much for hosting me on your blog. I am very excited, because In Good Faith, my new inspirational romance novel, has just been released. It is the first book in my new series, the Dunbar Falls Series.

Interesting. Does your faith affect your writing? If so, how?

I’m so glad you asked me that question. Yes, in fact my face is really the reason why I write. My inspirational romance is all deal with a hero and heroine, of course. But they also deal with God’s role in our lives. We may not have a lot of faith, we may be in trouble—no matter what the circumstances, God is always there for us. And in an inspirational romance, God‘s love is what brings the hero and heroine together.

What’s next in the Dunbar Falls Series?

I am working on the second book in the series, and hope to have it finished by the end of this year. The title is Act of Faith, and the heroine is a character, Alison, from In Good Faith.

That's exciting.

Five-star Amazon reviews for In Good Faith.

B.J. Robinson says, Haley has grown used to city life, but goes back to her hometown when her uncle passes. He has left her the use of his three-story mansion if she'll stay and run his company. She encounters Aaron, a boy she's known all of her life and discovers all the locals know how much he cares for her, even if she doesn't. She's been too caught up in city life and the hustle and bustle of it all to take the time to see people from her past or even to see what is right in front of her eyes...I highly recommend this book!

From Linda Weaver Clarke: This is a delightful story. I would describe Haley as a fashionable city girl in designer clothes. When she has to make the change from city girl to small town girl, it isn't easy...This is truly an adorable story.

And from S.B: I received a review copy of this book, and I couldn't put it down. This novel is an engaging Christian romance without being preachy. I love how the story reinforces the real-life challenges of choosing what is best for you while keeping others in mind.

Regina, a question - with setting this in Manhattan, have you visited there? I wondered if so, did you enjoy it? (especially since the heroine leaves it to return to her small town). Love the idea of working for a greeting card company too. :)

Gorgeous cover, and best wishes on your series!
Regina: Your story sounds great. I like stories where someone reaches an important time in their life and must make a decision that will change their life from then on. We must rely on the Lord and His guidance in such times. Writing a story of that nature will teach anyone who reaches those crossroads in their life. Gail, thanks for having this talented author for an interview.
Sorry, I forgot to mention I love the cover. Very nice.

Gail, thank you for posting Regina Andrews. She writes with depth, knows how to get to the hearts of her characters. And always has interesting characters to go along with interesting plots.

The choices we make can alter our lives, either for good or bad. I think this is the message you, strive to portray, Regina. And you do a great job of it. Congratulations on this book and the second in the series.

Hi Miss Mae, What an interesting question. Yes, I have visited Manhattan and I absolutely love it. It seemed like a really good setting for this book, because New York City is so culturally rich. Plus it provided such a contrast to Dunbar Falls. I am so glad you like the cover!
Thank you so much for your comment, it means the world to me!

Larry, thank you for your thoughtful comment as always. It is good to hear that Haley's growth touched something in you as a reader. I was hoping that readers could find a common ground and relate to her in her situation. And I'm thrilled you liked the cover, too! Thank you again for your encouragement and support.

Laurie, your comments touched my heart so much, thank you! You can't imagine how wonderful it feels for me to hear an assessment like that from a quality writer like you! I hope to finish ACT OF FAITH, book two in the series, around Christmas...and I will be looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it!

Looking Out the Window: Memories on the Heart

Several weeks ago my husband, Rick, and I ate at a restaurant we frequent fairly regularly. The cute, young waitress who usually waits on us took our orders for burgers and fries. I’ll call her Mandy. As usual Mandy’s smile and bubbly personality brightened our day. We giggled and confessed to her that we shouldn’t eat the fries, but we were going to do it just this once. She joked. “Okay, you’re being bad today.” Not long after we got our food a couple came in and sat in the booth behind us. Mandy walked up to the table with her big grin. “Hi, how are you?” she asked. The man, who had salt and pepper colored hair and a pudgy face, spoke in a harsh tone, “I want the steak.” “Sure, which one would you like?” Mandy asked. “I don’t want you to put it in the microwave. That will make it tough. Do you understand?” Mandy’s lips turned down. “Yes sir, which one do you want to order?” “I want it medium rare. I don’t want blood oozing out of it. I want it cooked right.” “Yes sir, which steak di

Psalm 40:1-3‚ “I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD.” Can you think of a time when God helped you out of a low place? Perhaps something had caused you to spiral downward, or maybe like the Old Testament character, Jonah, you had run away from God so as not to have to do what He was asking of you.  Through this passage, we see that David was experiencing this first-hand. He was in a place of despair, yet God was gracious, and after some time, placed David in a new area of serv

Looking Out the Window: Brandy Heineman Talks about Writing and Her New Book, Whispers in the Braches

A Warm Welcome to Brandy Heineman Photo credit: Copyright Emilie Hendryx of E. A. Creative Photography, 2014. Hi Brandy, lots of writers enjoyed reading as a child. How about you? If so, what did you read? Oh, yes. I always loved to read. I adored mysteries— The Dollhouse Murders and Behind the Attic Wall come to mind—and of course I had my Baby-Sitters Club and Sweet Valley High phase, my Roald Dahl phase, my Judy Bloom phase . . . I was quite a bookish child, I’d say! About Whispers in the Branches In 1942, Ruby lost something. In 2012, Abby found it. Abby’s love life, career, and faith are in shambles when she first hears Great Aunt Ruby’s claims that the family home is haunted.
