Hi Gail, thanks so much for having me on the blog today.
It's my pleasure.
I’m happy to share with you a Bible verse and a recipe, and tell you about my newest book!
One of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 10:9.
“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
I love this verse because it distills down the message of Christianity to its simplest elements. So often people add to the gospel, but it really all comes down to our belief in Jesus’ saving work on the cross. This verse tends to make its way into my writing. It’s in my latest novel, Moonlight and Mystery, when the heroine, Beth attends a carnival at a Christian school and a couple of high-school girls ask her if she’s sure she’s going to heaven.
Peanut Butter Balls
As for a recipe, I’m going to continue with the theme of simple. I love peanut butter, and (perhaps not coincidentally), so does our heroine Beth. She never had peanut butter growing up because her wealthy family only served more pretentious foods. As an adult, she eats it whenever she can! This recipe only has three ingredients, but it’s delicious for peanut butter lovers. I’m not sure where it originated, but we used to make it growing up. It’s probably the first recipe I ever learned (not counting PB & J sandwiches!)
Peanut butter dough
1 cup honey
1 cup peanut butter
2 cups nonfat dry milk
Mix the ingredients together until well blended, then roll into balls. Store in the refrigerator.
Notes:
1. We would sometimes mix in raisins or chocolate chips. This is a basic dough and you can use your imagination.
2. If you’re dairy free or want a different variation, you can make these with finely blended oats in place of the dry milk.
About Moonlight and Mystery
It’s the first book of a three-book series, but reads as a standalone.
Beth Tarrington has it all: a gorgeous fiancé, a lucrative career, the latest model car, and a high-priced condo. On top of that, the Tarrington name opens every door in town. So why is she so discontent? When everything falls apart in Beth’s life, will she finally find the strength to stand on her own two feet? Is God really willing to stand by her side, even after ignoring Him for so long?
When Jason Brooks meets Beth, his head tells him to run in the opposite direction. Beth is a high-society snob engaged to another man, and he’s not sure where she stands with God. So why does God keep bringing the two of them together? Can these two find love, in spite of everything that stands in their way?

Your book sounds like a delightful read. Romans 10:9 has been one of my favorite verses too. So easy to remember it and share it with someone looking for salvation.
